Dance mix for those aged 13-16 who want to develop their dancing and try different dance styles. During the course, we will work on strength, flexibility, rhythm, and technique to develop the foundations of body movements.

This semester, there is an extra focus on street dance, but we will also work with other dance styles and expressions. Part of the course involves personal creation and collaboration. The goal is to collectively create two choreographies that can be performed at a dance performance at Medborgarhuset on November 29.

One choreography will be created by the leader, and the other choreography will be created by the group together. This way, the participants will both work with a finished choreography and be involved in the creative process.

Target Group
The course is aimed at young people aged 13-16. The group has space for a maximum of 12 participants, which allows for a close and creative group where everyone gets to take part. To participate in the course, you need to be able to attend the training sessions and participate in the planned dance performance on November 29. A rehearsal is planned for November 28.

Course Structure
Thursday meetings will take place from 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM in Bobergshallen in Ånge. In addition to Thursdays, the group will meet three Sundays (September 13, October 11, November 8) from 2:00 PM to 4:15 PM in the Mirror Hall at Ålsta Folk High School in Fränsta. No training will take place during week 44 due to the autumn break.

Leader
Therese Didrick is a dance educator and will lead the group. She has taught dance since 2009 and has been active with ABF in Ånge since 2024.
