How we market Destination Sundsvall
Until 2027, we will work with different strategic target groups: the local market (Sundsvall, Timrå and Ånge) to create proud residents, the Swedish market and the international market. In 2025, a target group analysis will be conducted to identify the international visitor.
We use different channels depending on the target group we want to reach - own and purchased. Destination Sundsvall's own channels are Facebook and Instagram where the target group is visitors and on LinkedIn where the primary target group is the business community in Sundsvall, Timrå and Ånge and destinationsundsvall.se where the target group is visitors.
Our marketing efforts will lead to Destination Sundsvall becoming a year-round destination with both national and international recognition that is known for its unique combination of nature and cultural city. We will build a strong digital presence through our digital channels. The focus will be on reaching out to national and international markets and positioning Destination Sundsvall as a sustainable and modern destination where nature and a vibrant cultural city meet. Our brand will be strongly rooted in sustainability, authenticity and local pride. By building on Destination Sundsvall's unique combination of gastronomy, nature, culture, shopping and city life, we will ensure that we attract both national and international visitors.
Year-round destination
We will consolidate Destination Sundsvall as a destination for all seasons, where both summer and winter have strong attractions. This will be strengthened through clear strategic positioning that helps to increase accessibility and attractiveness all year round.
